From above glabella to mid of lung region
Pre-Monitoring
- Make a single slice scan at the Arch of Aorta to choose the level of trigger
- Check the scanned image to decide whether it is suitable or not
Monitoring
Trigger at the chosen level of Arch of Aorta.
Set Hounsfield Unit (HU) at 80.
Injector Setting
NP Test
Flow rate: 5.0 ml/s
Volume: 15 ml
Contrast
Flow rate: 5.0 ml/sec
Volume: 50 ml
Contrast (Carotid Angio)
Contrast: Omnipaque 350 mg I/ml Solution for injection/infusion IOHEXOL
Scan start when the trigger point reach 80 HU as we set up earlier.
Manual start is possible depend on situation.
Cover entire ROI of neck which is from the Arch of Aorta to frontal sinuses.

- Coronal Carotid Angio.
- Sagittal Carotid Angio.
Siemens SyngoVia 3D Render
Open with ‘CT Vascular’.
Rotate and punch.
Radial ranges.
Save as VRT CTA CAROTID.
