The objective of this circular is to inform the PACS Admin to merge all images from outsource into RIS.
There are patients who came from other hospitals or institutions to get further treatment at SASMEC @ IIUM. If there are any images from other hospital, the primary team, usually will request to upload or digitize the images into our system. Previously, all the uploaded images were not merge into our system. Because of this, the primary team need to search manually in the system. As approved by HOD, Department of Radiology, all images from outside sources will merge into RIS system in order to help clinician to provide better treatment to the patient
As approved by HOD, Department of Radiology, all images from outside sources will merge into RIS system in order to help clinician to provide better treatment to the patients. The steps as follows :
1. Images upload into PACS.
2. Create order in RIS (uploded image).
3. Scan all related document into the folder.
4. Start the procedure according the time when the procedure had done at the centres / hospitals.
5. Merge the images into RIS.
6. Returns the CDs or films to the primary team.
All staff are kindly requested to obey this decision.
