The objective of this circular is to inform all radiographers the distribution of duties at the modalities among them during lunch hour from Monday until Friday
Starting January 2020, all radiographers from SASMEC @ IIUM started to abolish the overtime claim as decided by hospital top management. Therefore, the department management team had divided radiographers into two groups which are shifts radiographers and divided (office hours) radiographers. This action had to be taken to ensure the services in the department run smoothly. Before this, the emergency cases during lunch hour were covered by radiographers who had been assigned to cover lunch on a daily rotation basis.
As decided in the departmental meeting on 14 February 2020, all emergency cases especially GENERAL X-RAY and CT SCAN which arrived at the department during lunch hour (1.00pm to 2.00pm) will be done by shift radiographers. The divided radiographers will still cover all the appointment cases until it is finished, even though the case drags through lunch hour.
All staff are kindly requested to obey this decision.
